Sitting on the couch at 9:20 p.m., it appears that Barack Hussein Obama will win enough electoral votes to be the president-elect. Regardless of what the mainstream media will tell us over the next few days, the country is DIVIDED.
The MSM will want you to believe the country wanted Obama. While he won more votes and more importantly, more electoral votes, Obama has a long way to go to win the hearts & minds of nearly 50% of the voters.
Obama will need to govern from the center and NOT from the left. He will need to stand up to a liberal-controlled congress. Whether or not he is able to stand up to them remains to be seen. What also remains to be seen is how Obama will govern.
At this point, we have no reports of election night violence. I hope this holds true although, I'm not confident. Do any of you remember any of the World Series winners where idiots burned buildings, overturned cars, and committed general mayhem?
It'll be interesting if the Obama people will help or hurt in the transition of power. Typically, when power is given to the non-incumbent party, the incumbent party helps with the transition and the winner generally listens. The Clinton administration was very unhelpful in the transition to George W. Bush. I think GWB's folks will help this transition be very, very smooth. Why? Because he has class.
